This book could be a bona-fide masterpiece, but I'm still quitting after page 123 out of 1115 pages (Vellum is 501 pages, and the sequel, Ink, adds 614 pages to the commitment). Although it is a phenomenally-timed read for me--on the tail of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl and I just happen to pick up a multiple narrative of time-separated characters merging all pre-experienced existences because time is cyclic and traveling it is just a matter of ritualizing to the right doors and dimensions?--I am just not mentally prepared to contemplate this artistic exploration.

I need to read for fun right now, or not at all.
